Actually, Jeremiah did a lot of the "cleaning out" of the pumpkins...should have included that photo! Siri helped carve Signe's pumpkin, and Jeremiah did the other two. It was a fun time!

I get to see them tomorrow afternoon for piano lessons. I don't think I told you I'm giving them lessons. :)

Mina is the perfect portrait of the "long-suffering pet" but to tell you the truth, I think she likes being included. She reminds me of some women who like the attention but just want to be sure you know she is putting forth the effort.

Did anyone else carve pumpkins or did Siri do all the work? Do you want our recipe for roasted pumpkin seeds for next year? They are good.

I LOVE seeing photos of you and the Penns spending time together. It is vicarious enjoyment for me. I do so wish I could still talk to Bev about our kids and grandkids.
Love, MN Mom

That's the cutest orange fish I've ever seen! Hey Mark, I'm glad carving pumpkins reminds you of me. Carving a Thanksgiving turkey reminds me of you because you're a Turkey-head and I carve you up on the tennis court!!

Thank you for including the one of all 4 Penn kids plus the Leonard girls. I've been hoping a photo of all 6 would come through. Must be quite a trick to get them in one spot at a time since you are dealing with 2 babies, 2 very energetic boys, one-interested-in-everything toddler, and one little girl who really is pretty grown up. Oof--makes my head spin.

They are all giggle, but beautiful pictures. The photo of the 2 girls in the ottoman is classic. Mackenzie's little head barely shows. And, yes, she does look much happier sitting up on that little couch you found.

I love the one of Maddie, Mark, and Mina on the floor. But I have to chuckle, Maddie hasn't lost her fascination with her belly button yet.

Thank you so much for taking the time to send them!!!

Thank you for these photos!! It is so fun to have the photos and see what is going on your life. Derek and Nathan are on the other blog as pirates. Grandma loves them all.
Although I thought Mackenzie was a mermaid when I saw the first photo--where Maddie is speaking "empatically" as you put it. Maddie certainly had the other 3 "tamed" in that photo.
Talked to Charla and Brock today. Charla says she dressed as a princess. Brock didn't claim to have a costume but he must have because Jim took them trick or treating and they went to a party at their church.

Don answered our door as usual. But I came running when I heard Nikki's voice. He was dressed as a transformer.

I think Mackenzie gets the good sport award.
