Tonight I discovered that I was given the disc forĀ iLife 09 when I bought my Macbook! iLife 08 was pre-installed on the machine and the imovie application from 08 was not very good. Now that I have the 09 version, I’m pumped to play with some old video clips.
Here’s a little movie of Maddie in her first Easter egg hunt.
Last night I cleaned out the files on our video camera’s hard-drive and decided to put together a compilation of some of the more riveting footage that we took of Maddie’s first year.
Okay, here comes the big birthday post! Are you ready for a lot of pictures and videos?! For those of you who were at the party, this may not be so interesting to you, but I figured the grandmas for sure would love to see a lot of “footage” of Maddie’s big day, so here goes…
Isaac proud as the “big” cousin with his younger brother and cousin
Both boys enjoyed the party accessories, but I think Isaac had a bit more wind than Caleb.
Maddie wasn’t as fond of the party hats as some of the other guests at the party. It didn’t help that she snapped her face when trying to take it off.
We managed to fit in one family picture among the busyness.
The cake series…
Daddy getting ready to help Maddie open her gift from Gpa and Gma Leonard
Maddie got a little distracted with other toys around, but once she plays with these musical bath toys, she’ll realize how cool they are! She had her eye focused on the walkie talkie that she used as a phone, as you can see her holding to her ear as she says “hello.”
One of Mark’s favorite gifts was the Star Wars sippy cups from the Knight family.
Maddie got a homemade cloth ball from the Hekmans that she loved!
She’s really into putting things over her head, so the necklace from Grandma B was a big hit.
Here’s a video of the Birthday Song and her digging into the cake. If we had video taped all of the cake-eating process, we might still be there now. She was more dainty than we had expected. You’ll see how cautiously she eats it…:)
Here’s another cake video but quite a bit shorter…
The following video was taken last night and shows the battle between Maddie and Mina and the dog bed. Not the most sanitary, I understand, but it really is funny! (and they say kids exposed to animals have less allergies) This video is a little on the long side (2 min.) so I’ll just let you know that Maddie does defeat Mina in the end!
Maddie got a fever on Thursday, which didn’t last long…but it led to a terrible cold/cough that we now both have!! Yesterday was the toughest day yet. Maddie wouldn’t eat, sleep, play…she just cried all day whether I was holding her or not. It sure makes me appreciate her normal easy-going personality. This video was the closest she got to a nap all day, if that tells you anything. I tried laying her down after the video, but all she did was scream. Guess I should have just let her sleep in the highchair!!
We had the privilege of watching Eva last night while her parents were out of town. Maddie and Eva found a lot of things to get into! I can’t believe how much busier it makes it to 1) have two kids around at the same time and 2) have a little one walking around…lots faster than crawling! Thanks for the fun time, Eva.
