Ponies, Parties, and Friends

I feel like I have so many things to post…so here come a lot of pictures! We went to a birthday party this past weekend of one of Maddie’s friends who just turned 2. Maddie had a blast and even got to go on THREE pony rides! Notice the series of pictures…first she’s seriously anxious and uneasy, but by the end, she’s a real pro.

Holding on pretty tightly to Dad…

Dad’s still close by…

All by herself!

And here’s the birthday girl with her cool cupcake cake!

I had to post both of these pix…don’t you love how one girl is closing her eyes in each picture?! Mom Leonard, notice the cute “couch” they’re sitting on? I got it at a garage sale this weekend, and Maddie LOVES it! It reminds her of being at Gma and Gpa Leonard’s house. :)

We went to Oak Glen with a group of moms and their kids from church this afternoon. Maddie had a blast! Here are some pictures from our afternoon.

Our beautiful cousins

Maddie and Mackenzie were spoiled by the cool older girls at Oak Glen. :)

Isn’t this such a sweet picture?!

And later today after getting home from Oak Glen, Sarah and Aliyah came to hang out with Mackenzie. Aliyah and Mackenzie had lots of fun while Maddie took a nap.

Aliyah tried so hard to get close to Mackenzie, but this is the closest that the Exersaucer would allow! She’s so sweet…always wanting to give kisses. We love you, Aliyah! :)

  1. Glad that she had a good time! She was a pro on riding at the end. Looks like you had a busy week but one filled with friends and your children! What more is there – so wonderful. Thanks for coming over to play!

    • Thanks for inviting us! We had a blast. :)

  2. Love the photos!! Thank you! That Mackenzie sure looks happy and perky all the time. I can’t wait to see them both running around. Maddie is so pretty and is changing from “toddler” to “little girl” awfully fast. I’ll bet you were on her “best mom in the world” list when you came home with that couch. S. looks so grown up. K. looks so cuddly.

Does Mackenzie wake up singing after her nap?

You CA-ians sure don’t slow down for a minute. We MN=ians slowed down for sports on tv this week. The Vikings beat the Packers with the help of former Packer Brett Farve and MN Twins beat Detroit today (12 inning game) for a place in the ABL play-offs. So they play again tomorrow in NY. Not much time for sleeping–they have 16 hours between games!
    love to all, Grandma

  3. Looking at the photos again and enjoying. Putting some on iphoto. I think I will label the one with Maddie in the stroller as “Princess Maddie” with attendants S. and __?___

think I will take a look at smugmug and see whether I can order them off of there.
    love you, Grandma

    • ooh, I’ll make sure to upload them to smugmug! I usually upload at the end of each month, but I can do it early for you. :)
