My mom and niece got a great deal on airfare and planned a one-week trip to California! We’ve been trying to pack in as much as possible for my niece, who hasn’t been out here since she was maybe 5 years old. Below are some pictures of our time with them as well as the latest interactions between Madelyn and Mackenzie.

We picked up Gma B. and Cousin C. from L.A. and Maddie crawled into bed with them in the middle of the night.
No, Mark is not a giant…we just forgot to bring the bottom pole of our beach umbrella.

Maddie was exhausted after a day at the beach! She cried so hard when Mark picked up her “bed” when it was time to leave.

Did Mark grow up doing the little joke “Hi, my name is Chubby, my mom is chubby…..”? Maddie is such a card!
I finally realized what she’s saying in this video…”I’m coming, baby.” She always says that when Mackenzie cries since she’s used to hearing me say that. After listening to the video with her, she started saying it in a normal voice and I figured it out.
well, you know me well enough to know that I love all of these photos. but the last video is pretty funny–watching her face right before she imitates Mark is hilarious. It takes so much concentration!
