So, in the last couple of weeks, another school year has wrapped up, Mark has entered his “wedding season” for Mark Leonard Imaging, and we’ve enjoyed hanging out with cousins who are in the process of moving out to CA and getting settled. It’s been a busy and fun last couple of weeks, and I am way past due in needing to post on the blog. Thank you, Grandma Leonard, for your patience. You are definitely our most faithful follower.
Here are some pictures of some of the latest events in the Leonard household…

Charity had the magic touch–she got Mackenzie to sleep more than once when I was busy in the kitchen! (I will get more pictures of the rest of the Penn gang and post them).

We went to a local farm in Redlands that lets you walk through and see the animals. Maddie loved the goats!! She kept trying to imitate the sounds they were making.

I love the expression on her face in this picture. I think it’s when she was watching the turkeys and loved the sounds they made.

Her friend Eva wasn’t as excited about the goats. She liked the other animals, though.
The next few pictures were taken at Chick-Fil-A. I love taking Maddie there because they have great chicken and an awesome play area that Maddie loves. Sarah and Aliyah met us there, and the girls had a blast. Even Mackenzie woke up to give some smiles for the camera. ![]()

What a ham!

Can you see the smile under the pacifier?!
Such happy girls…

This last picture was taken at Stater Brothers (our grocery store). Maddie LOVED sitting in the “car cart.” In fact, when it was time to get back in the van to go home, Maddie threw a fit. I tried the whole “Bye, Maddie, I’m leaving,” and she happily said “bye bye” and stayed in her little car!! I finally just dragged her out with her kicking and screaming…what a horrible mom I am! (She somehow survived and is sound asleep in bed as I type).
And to close it off, here are a couple of cute videos I wanted to share…
I feel a little guilty that I laughed the hardest when Maddie started choking at the end. I’m a terrible person. (I knew she was okay.)
I love all those smiles, how cute
I love these girls! from Charity through the little ones to the narrator. thank you for the photos and the video. I’m not glad J. and S. moved their fammily to CA but I am glad for J.’s job and that you 2 families can get some time together.
Love, Mom
Just adorable. What farm? I might have to take the girls. They are animal lovers. I have had to pull a kicking and screaming child out more than once. The whole bye plan does not work much. Except I have actually had to get in the car and close the door and that helped Gracie along a time or two. Still as a parent that option seems to risky to me.
You are a great mom! Thanks for the fun post.
It was actually the Bracken Bird Farm. I didn’t realize they had other animals besides birds, but it was fun…not a ton of animals, but enough for a fun little fieldtrip away from the house.
Jill, it was fun bumping into you at Chick-fil-A. I liked the video of Maddie standing on her chair. Miranda does that now too, she moves all sorts of “stools” to get up onto things. She doesn’t just reach stuff or lookat things, but gets on top of the counters, tables, beds, bathroom sinks. . .uuuugh! Crazy monkey girl.
I agree! It’s so fun to see Miranda cuz she reminds me a lot of Maddie.
Do you have a blog? If so, I’d love to follow it and keep up with your family.
Hey…we have a goat! I never even thought to take Maddie out to see our goat!! Maybe she will get to spend lots of time with it!!! ;o)
She would love that!
