Here are some of my favorite videos that I’ve taken so far. Hope you enjoy.
Hey, all.
Sorry for the long period of time between posts, but I figure you’re used to it by now. I would try to explain myself, but I just seem to keep taking forever to post things!!
Maddie, Mackenzie, and I are currently in MN with my Dad and Vicki and will be heading to Fargo to see my mom in a few days. We miss Mark terribly and aren’t sure if next year’s vacation will be quite as long without him. To get him through his extended time as a bachelor, I’m going to post some videos that I’ve been taking of the girls.
Sorry if it gets boring to some of you out there who check out our blog, but it’s all for you, Mark!! We love you and can’t wait to see you in a couple of weeks!!! I will post some videos later after Mackenzie is in bed (which could still be awhile yet).
Love, Jill, Maddie (your little bean), and Mackenzie (your littler bean)
Hey, all! In case you haven’t seen them already on the Mark Leonard Imaging Blog, check out Mackenzie’s 3-month photos on Mark’s gallery site. Mark did an amazing job as usual. Thanks, Mark!!
So, in the last couple of weeks, another school year has wrapped up, Mark has entered his “wedding season” for Mark Leonard Imaging, and we’ve enjoyed hanging out with cousins who are in the process of moving out to CA and getting settled. It’s been a busy and fun last couple of weeks, and I am way past due in needing to post on the blog. Thank you, Grandma Leonard, for your patience. You are definitely our most faithful follower.
Here are some pictures of some of the latest events in the Leonard household…

Charity had the magic touch–she got Mackenzie to sleep more than once when I was busy in the kitchen! (I will get more pictures of the rest of the Penn gang and post them).

We went to a local farm in Redlands that lets you walk through and see the animals. Maddie loved the goats!! She kept trying to imitate the sounds they were making.

I love the expression on her face in this picture. I think it’s when she was watching the turkeys and loved the sounds they made.

Her friend Eva wasn’t as excited about the goats. She liked the other animals, though.
The next few pictures were taken at Chick-Fil-A. I love taking Maddie there because they have great chicken and an awesome play area that Maddie loves. Sarah and Aliyah met us there, and the girls had a blast. Even Mackenzie woke up to give some smiles for the camera.

What a ham!

Can you see the smile under the pacifier?!
Such happy girls…

This last picture was taken at Stater Brothers (our grocery store). Maddie LOVED sitting in the “car cart.” In fact, when it was time to get back in the van to go home, Maddie threw a fit. I tried the whole “Bye, Maddie, I’m leaving,” and she happily said “bye bye” and stayed in her little car!! I finally just dragged her out with her kicking and screaming…what a horrible mom I am! (She somehow survived and is sound asleep in bed as I type).
And to close it off, here are a couple of cute videos I wanted to share…
Mark, Maddie, Mackenzie, and I made our way to the 91st Annual Cherry Festival here in Beaumont this afternoon. I was so excited to see all of the food stands and carnival rides…it reminded me of the Pennington County Fair!
Maddie wasn’t sure of what to expect at first, but I think she was pretty excited about it by the end. Even Mark let out all the stops–fed her candy, ice cream, and funnel cake!!
We had a great time and wanted to share a couple of cute videos from our afternoon. (We didn’t ignore Mackenzie…she just slept through all of it)! And as you’re about to see…Maddie slept well after leaving…

Sorry it’s taken me awhile, but I’m finally getting around to posting some videos from Mackenzie’s baptism. It was a great day, and we enjoyed celebrating with Mackenzie in her baptism. May God grow and work in her heart as she grows up!
I know that Mark didn’t approve of what you will see in this video, but no one was hurt or injured…no worries!
I’ve attempted to post on the blog a couple of times and finally gave up since my computer constantly shuts down for no reason. I’m thinking it won’t be long before my computer just dies completely! Until then, though, I will continue to do my best to update the blog.
The following pictures are from the last couple of weeks.
Mark’s mom came to visit this past week and was a huge help since it was my first week back at school after my maternity leave. She spent a lot of time with the girls, and Maddie especially loved all of the one-on-one reading time. Thanks, Grandma.

That’s our girl–pretty in pink!

Mackenzie is smiling constantly now…I can’t wait for her first all-out laugh.

Maddie having a blast sharing her new pool with Eva

Mark enjoying his birthday/Father’s day gift…given a little early

Our two happy girls!

Enjoying reading with Grandma

Mackenzie was baptized on Sunday, and it was fun for Mark’s mom to be around for that. The following pictures are from Baptism Sunday…

Another smiling picture of Mackenzie

Mackenzie cuddling with Grandma

The baptism tired her out! She slept for about two hours in her carseat when we got home from church.
Yeah, that’s right, Mark is the best! For those of you who follow Nick and Julie’s blog, you may remember the many cool things that Nick did for Julie around the time of Valentine’s Day. You also may have remembered the banter that went back and forth between Mark and me, regarding Mark’s lack of romanticism at the time. Well, Mark, I take everything back…you outdid yourself for Mother’s Day today!!
He surprised me with breakfast in bed, and not just any breakfast, but yummy crepes with strawberries, blackberries, and bananas. The presentation alone was amazing. He also picked a rose from our yard and had Maddie bring it to me when she woke up.
Notice in the pictures below how Maddie never took her eyes off my plate…that girl loves to eat! She wasn’t happy when Mark took her downstairs to eat. (She still got crepes, but had to wait for them).

Sorry about the spit up…Mackenzie had just eaten.

Take two…

The final shot…the best we could get before Maddie nearly dove into my food!
It’s hard to tell in this video if Mackenzie is smiling at the music and toys of the playmat or at her big sister Maddie. I’d like to think it’s Maddie who’s making her smile.
This is a little long, but if you make it to the end, you’ll hear Mackenzie make a few little cooing sounds.
